Honda CBR 300RR Summary
The CBR 300RR will more or less come with the same sleek and sporty design as its 250cc sibling. We expect it to come with sharp body panels and sleek LED lighting components that will give this supersport a modern look. It will use a strong and durable steel pipe truss structure frame linked to an asymmetrical gull arm-shaped swingarm. The Honda CBR 300RR will feature inverted telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock absorber with a 5-step preload adjustment. You will see this supersport boasting the same braking setup as the CBR250RR, a 310 mm disc at the front wheel and a 240 mm disc at the rear wheel. A twin-channel anti-lock braking system will be offered as standard.
Speaking about the engine, the Honda CBR 300RR will be powered by a 300cc, twin-cylinder, 4-stroke engine. It will use an efficient programmed fuel injection system as seen on the other Honda bikes. Its liquid-cooled motor will transfer power to its rear wheel with the help of a 6-speed gearbox. Like its sibling, the Honda CBR 300RR will also come with a slipper clutch and a quick shifter. The high-revving engine of this supersport may deliver up to 49 PS of peak power, which will allow it to compete against the upcoming Yamaha R5. It will be fitted with an electronic throttle-by-wire system that will help it provide quick acceleration. The CBR 300RR will also offer multiple ride modes and it will get a digital TFT console.
Honda CBR 300RR Price and Launch in India
Reports from the global automobile suggest that the CBR 300RR is currently under development. Honda may publically reveal the prototype model bike in one of the auto shows later this year. The brand may launch the production-spec model in the first half of next year. This supersport will help Honda challenge the upcoming KTM RC 500 and Kawasaki Ninja 500. The price of the Honda CBR 300RR in India is expected to be around Rs 4.10 Lakh.
Does the Honda CBR 300RR Make Sense?
Honda has left the entry-level supersport segment in India a while ago, and we think the new CBR 300RR would be a perfect option to set foot in this segment again. This new supersport is likely to be equipped with a twin-cylinder engine that will be calibrated to deliver a zippy performance. You will see this sports bike fitted with premium components and class-leading electronics. If the brand brings the Honda CBR 300RR with a competitive price tag in India, it will greatly benefit from the rising demands for sports bikes in India.
