The Honda X-Blade 125cc is an upcoming street bike that will come with a sporty and edgy design. It will be equipped with a single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC engine derived from the Honda SP125. A 5-speed manual transmission will be offered as standard. We expect this street bike to be equipped with modern features like LED lighting, a digital dashboard, and sporty alloy wheels.
The design of the Honda X-Blade 125cc will be inspired by its bigger 160cc sibling. A Robo-face LED headlight setup, sculpted fuel tank, and a razor-sharp tail section will give it a sporty look. It will be based on a lightweight diamond-type frame like the Honda CBR. The suspension duties will be handled by telescopic forks at the front end and a mono-shock absorber at the rear end. Honda X-Blade 125cc will be fitted with a petal disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear wheel. It might miss out on a single-channel ABS system, instead, it will come with a combined braking system. 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres will be offered as standard.
This street bike will be powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC, engine with air-cooling. The Honda X-Blade 125cc will produce nearly 9.72 hp of maximum power and 10.9 Nm of maximum torque. It will use a programmed fuel injection system like the CBR 300RR. It will be linked to a 5-speed manual transmission that will be accompanied by a wet multi-plate clutch. A dual outlet muffler will give this street bike an enhanced sporty look as well as a throatier exhaust note. Honda X-Blade 125cc will feature a fully digital instrument cluster and LED headlights. It will also get an engine start/stop switch and a side-stand engine cut-off switch.
Honda X-Blade 125cc Price and Launch in India
The X-Blade 125cc is expected to make its debut early next year. It will be another addition to the 125cc lineup of Honda in India. This new sporty street bike will help the brand drive more sales in the entry-level segment. The Honda X-Blade 125cc price is expected to start at Rs 95,000 in the Indian market. It will be competing with the Yamaha FZ-S, Baja, Pulsar 125, Suzuki Gixxer, and the upcoming TVS Apache 125cc.
Does the Honda X-Blade 125cc Make Sense?
The options for motorcycle Indian buyers in the 125cc segment are quite less. The upcoming X-Blade 125cc seems like a good bet from Honda to attract buyers looking for a sporty bike for daily commuting. This new street bike will be sharing its engine a most of its components with SP125. To distinguish it from the typical commuter bike in this segment, Honda will equip it with plenty of modern features. The Honda X-Blade 125cc seems like a perfect option for buyers looking for a sporty and feature-loaded bike for daily use.
