KTM RC 150 Summary
The KTM RC 150 will be using a steel trellis frame with a bolt-on subframe which will give this supersport high-speed rigidity and agility. It will be equipped with clip-on handlebars that will give the rider a track-oriented riding posture. This new supersport will come with WP Apex inverted front forks which will also be used on the upcoming Duke 150. At the rear, it will feature a WP mono-shock absorber with preload adjustability. The KTM RC 150 will get a 320 mm disc brake on the front wheel and a 230 mm disc brake on the rear wheel. Its rider-centric design and slim body will make it very easy to handle.
KTM will equip this new supersport with a 150cc, single-cylinder engine with a Bosch fuel injection system. The KTM RC 150 will also use a Bosch engine management system as seen on its other siblings. Its compact engine will be liquid-cooled and it will be mated to a 6-speed transmission. it might miss out on a slipper clutch like the bigger RC series bikes. The upcoming KTM RC 150 will deliver a strong mid-range torque and a slick throttle response. It will get a fully digital LCD console but instead of an LED headlight unit, it will come with a halogen headlight. This supersport will also get a supermoto ABS system like the soon-to-come Pulsar NS 220.
KTM RC 150 Price and Launch Date in India
The news about the launch of the RC 150 in India has not been confirmed by the brand as of now. The KTM RC 125 has been losing steam ever since more powerful and feature-loaded sports bikes have been launched in this segment. KTM might bring a 150cc model with more power and features to hold its position in the entry-level premium sports bikes segment. The brand may replace the RC 125 with a new RC 150 in near future.
